STEP 2 Provide proof of identity

You will be required to submit sufficient proof of your identity for the application.

To apply for a driver's licence, WA photo card, or learner's permit you need to verify your identity with a combination of these types of documents:


Category A	Establishment of identity (e.g. Australian birth certificate)
Category B	Link between identity and person (e.g. Australian passport)
Category C	Evidence of identity in community (e.g. Tax File Number Letter)
Category D	Proof of residence (e.g. Letter showing current residential address)
