Hopetoun Maritime Facility

Two jetties at Hopetoun Maritime Facility.

The Hopetoun Maritime Facility is located in the town centre and comprises of a service jetty, boat ramp, public toilets, car park and hardstand area.

Hopetoun is a quiet, holiday town situated 358 kilometres east of Albany and 239 kilometres west of Esperance.

The town was originally settled by whalers and sealers but the magnificent coastal scenery and unspoilt beaches are now popular for boating, windsurfing, fishing and swimming.

Facilities

Service jetty

There is a 38 metre service jetty with a water supply. 

Wharf load limits
  • Berth load: 50 tonne displacement vessel berthing at a maximum of 0.3 m/s at a maximum approach angle of 15°
  • Stack load: 750 kg/m²
  • Crane load: 6 tonne gross weight
  • Vehicle load: M9 standard load

Boat ramp

There is a single lane concrete ramp, alongside is a 27-metre catwalk.

Public toilets

Public toilets are located to the north of the maritime facility.

Parking

There is a large, compacted gravel parking and hardstand area. 

Expired flare disposal

Flare disposal is available nearby at the Hopetoun Sea Search and Rescue Group on Veal Street, Hopetoun. Find out more about flare disposal locations.
