Aboriginal Community Airstrips Renewal Program
ACARP has been allocated $8 million by the State Government through the 2024-25 budget to support upgrades for up to eight Aboriginal community airstrips in the Kimberley.
The Aboriginal Community Airstrips Renewal Program (ACARP) aims to ensure airstrips at remote Aboriginal communities that are maintained through the Department of Communities, Remote and Essential Municipal Services (REMS), can safely support flights connecting people to critical services including essential health care.
The program identifies and facilitates capital works and strategic maintenance that supports climate resilience.
