Regional Airport Pavement Upgrades

The State Government has committed $21.28 million to upgrade aircraft pavements at the regional airports of Albany, Carnarvon, East Kimberley (Kununurra), Eucla and Onslow.

The upgrades will ensure crucial Royal Flying Doctor Service (RFDS) landings and regular public transport flights servicing Albany, Carnarvon, Kununurra and Onslow can continue to be supported.

Improved infrastructure will also allow unrestricted access for larger aircraft that will support economic development by offering greater connectivity, improved services and the potential for reduced airfares.
