Identity requirements for existing customers and other transactions
Find out which documents you need to provide to confirm your identity for transactions, such as licensing or transferring a vehicle.
When completing a transaction with us you may need to provide a combination of primary and secondary identity documents to confirm your identity.
Even if you have completed a transaction with us before, we must confirm your identity before we can access your record on our system.
The type and number of documents you need to provide will depend on the transaction or service.
Check the details on the relevant application form for more information.
The documents you provide must be originals. We cannot accept laminated or photocopied documents, or photos of the document.
The name on all of your documents must be the same, or you must provide evidence of your change of name that clearly shows the link between your birth name and current name. For example, a marriage certificate or name change certificate.
