Looking for a new or used car that’s kind to our planet?
Vehicle Emissions Star Rating (VESR) helps buyers make an informed decision about the environmental impact and running costs of their next vehicle. It's a key NSW Government initiative developed in consultation with the Australian Government and endorsed by all state and territory governments.
The six-star online rating system allows you to compare the carbon dioxide emissions of different cars, utes and vans. The more stars a vehicle has, the lower the vehicle's tailpipe CO2 emissions.
The VESR website is packed with resources and tips which will help you to:
- make sustainable choices when deciding on your next vehicle purchase;
- calculate the environmental, fuel and energy costs of your current vehicle; and
- quickly and easily compare the emissions and cost savings of up to four different vehicles.
Compare your vehicle now and find out how you can make sustainable choice on your next vehicle purchase at http://www.vesr.gov.au/.
The Department of Transport (DoT) is responsible for administering Western Australia’s Zero Emission Vehicle (ZEV) rebate scheme. Find out if you’re eligible and view data and trends on the uptake of electric vehicles in WA by visiting the electric vehicles page.
