Expressions of interest are open for local bike planning grants, offered as part of DTMI’s Western Australian Bicycle Network Grants Program.
This funding opportunity is designed to assist local governments, including Regional Councils, in metropolitan and regional WA to develop and implement bike plans to help strengthen the State’s active transport network.
These non-infrastructure grants provide lump sum funding of $15,000 or $25,000.
Expressions of interest are open year-round, with two dedicated assessment periods per year. Seven local governments have so far been successful in receiving a grant, sharing in $165,000.
Applications can now be made through the Western Australian Bicycle Network Grants Program webpage.
Submissions received by 19 September 2025 will be considered in this current assessment round. Applications received after the deadline will be considered in the April 2026 assessment round.
