PTSS web services
Passenger Transport Subsidy Scheme (PTSS) web services allow on-demand booking services (ODBSs) that are registered for PTSS to capture PTSS journey details to integrate with their own digital systems (like dispatch software).
There is no charge from the Department of Transport (DoT) to access and use the PTSS web services, however ODBSs will need to utilise software developers or other technical experts to use the PTSS web services.
The PTSS mobile app also captures PTSS journey data. Both ways of accessing the digital PTSS system will collect journey details and send this information to DoT so that subsidies can be paid. You will need to communicate your chosen method with your drivers.
How to access PTSS web services
Contact DoT to access PTSS web services:
- email ondemandtransport@transport.wa.gov.au; or
- call 13 11 56.
While PTSS web services are available to all authorised ODBSs that are registered for PTSS, ODBSs must have or develop their own digital solutions to access the web services, that are fully owned and supported by the ODBS.
This means utilising software developers or similar technical experts.
DoT is unable to develop or provide IT support for your own digital solutions.
Note: integrating your systems with the PTSS API may take time for you to develop. It is recommended to engage with DoT early if you wish to do this. Drivers should use the PTSS mobile app in the interim.
