Under the Transport (Road Passenger Services) Act 2018, ODBSs providing rank or hail (taxi) services have a range of responsibilities related to TUSS.
ODBSs must:
- ensure TUSS vouchers are accepted as payment or part payment of fares;
- not direct passenger transport drivers or passenger transport vehicle providers to refuse TUSS vouchers;
- keep relevant records related to TUSS bookings and journeys;
- report to the CEO on specified matters relating to subsidies; and
- take steps to prevent improper or fraudulent use of TUSS vouchers.

Submitting co-payment data
To support the validation of co-payment claims, relevant ODBSs must submit a copy of their booking records to DoT via their DoTDirect account.
