Taking place in October each year, WA Bike Month is an opportunity to give riding a go for transport, fun and a healthier lifestyle.

The annual initiative is our flagship celebration of bike riding across the state, encouraging everyone to experience the joy and benefits of pedal-power.

From 1-31 October, this year’s ‘bike your burbs’ theme encourages all Western Australians to explore their local walking and riding paths, connect with community and enjoy fun events on offer.

A great range of amazing activities are happening across lots of different neighbourhoods and communities. From family rides in Pemberton to bike workshops in Mundaring and bike basics sessions in the Perth metro area, there’s something for everyone. Check out the calendar to get involved.

DTMI is also proud to host the WA Bike Month Festival at Kings Park – a family-friendly afternoon of fun that includes bike obstacle courses, BMX coaching, an epic bike quest and plenty more activities.

Whether you’re a novice, or a bit rusty on two wheels, riding can be a convenient, healthy and cheap way to get around.

Check out what’s on in your local communities and bike your burbs this October!
