Have your say on proposed changes to WA’s Motorcycle Graduated Licensing System

The Department of Transport and Major Infrastructure (DTMI) is leading the review of WA’s Motorcycle Graduated Licensing System (M GLS).

DTMI has prepared an M GLS consultation paper that reviews WA's current M GLS using best practice guidelines and outlines two major proposed changes designed to bring WA’s system in line with national standards and improve safety.

DTMI is seeking public comment on the proposed changes around licensing, rider restrictions, rider training and assessment and rider training delivery to develop a standalone M GLS for WA.

We invite all motorcycle learner riders and licensed riders to have their say on the future of motorcycle rider licensing on the My Say Transport platform by midnight, Sunday 24 May 2026
