Mariners are advised that works to replace Port Beacon No. 4, a navigational aid forming part of the Albany Port Approach Channel, will be carried out on 17 June 2026 during daylight hours, subject to suitable weather and operational conditions.
The works will be undertaken using a helicopter supported installation method. A 100 metre marine exclusion zone will be established around the work area for the duration of helicopter lifting operations. Mariners must not enter the exclusion zone during these operations.

Mariners are advised that works are scheduled to install a water access staircase from the western face of the breakwater, Albany Waterfront Marina. Works will commence on 15 June to 3 July 2026, Monday to Friday from 7am to 5pm subject to daylight, weather and sea conditions.
Operations will be undertaken from a 12m x 8m self-propelled barge ‘Longreach’ equipped with a crane. Temporary yellow buoys equipped with flashing lights will be placed around work areas as a warning to approaching vessels.
Divers may be operating in and around the work areas. All dive support vessels will display the international code flag “A” whilst diving operations are in progress.
All vessels taking part in these works will display lights and shapes in accordance with the Prevention of Collisions in State Waters Regulations 1983 at all times.
Operators will monitor Marine VHF Channel 12 through the duration of the works.
Mariners are advised to maintain a proper lookout at all times, keep a safe distance and reduce speed and wake around the works, follow all temporary markers and signage, and comply with directions from site personnel as required.

Offshore Torbay, Albany:
Area of closure: - All the waters offshore from Torbay, Albany within 100 metres of the above DWRB. Vessels authorised by the Department of Transport are exempt from the closure.
Mariners are requested to maintain a minimum distance of 100 meters from the DWRB, including any associated fishing equipment at all times so as to not interfere with or damage the DWRB.

Mariners are advised that a build-up of sand has been identified adjacent to the Bremer Bay Boat Ramp. Charted depths have been reduced in some areas by 1.4m. A significant high spot of 1.3m at LAT exists approximately 38m directly adjacent to the boat ramp.
Large draft vessels are advised to exercise caution when navigating the area and on approach to the Southern Service Wharf.
