I Graeme Meinema, delegate of the Chief Executive Officer, acting pursuant to section 66 of the Western Australian Marine Act 1982 hereby close the following area of water to all vessels from 08/11/2025 during the following times: 5PM to 9PM
Area of Closure: All the waters within an 80-metre radius of the firing point located at approximately 30° 18.00966' S, 115° 2.16633' E.
Conditions of Closure:
No vessel shall transit through, anchor or moor within the closed waters area.
Bonafide vessels associated with the fireworks display are exempt from the closure.
Swimming is prohibited in the above area of closure.
This area is set aside for safety measures during the set up and display of pyrotechnics.

Mariners are advised that maintenance dredging works at Jurien Bay Boat Harbour will commence Mid-November 2025 and will proceed until approximately Mid-April 2026.
Dredging operations will occur Monday to Saturday between the hours of 0700 and 1900hrs and on Sundays and public holidays between 0900 and 1900 hours.
The works are being carried out by the cutter suction dredge “Kingston”, equipped with 1.2km of floating & submerged pipeline marked with yellow buoys, displaying rhythmic flashing lights. The dredge has no self-propulsion and uses anchors and spuds to move. Dredged material will be disposed offshore and the pipeline will terminate at a yellow pontoon, marked with yellow flashing light. Mariners are recommended to keep clear of the disposal point.
The dredge and connected pipeline will remain unmanned in the area of operation after normal operating hours for the duration of the works.
The dredge will exhibit shapes and lights in accordance with the Prevention of collisions at Sea Regulations 1983.
If mariners are unsure of where to safely pass the dredge vessel, they are requested to contact the operators who will be monitoring the following radio frequencies:

Mariners are advised that deployment operations will take place on the 28th of October 2025.
The objects being deployed will consist of a 1m3 subsea component coupled with a yellow surface buoy with flashing light (FL Y 2s). the objects will lie 4.5m below the surface at LAT.
Operations will be undertaken from a research vessel ‘Pelagic’ equipped with a davit and slip line used to lower objects to the seafloor.
All vessels taking part in these works will display lights and shapes in accordance with the Prevention of Collisions in State Waters Regulations 1983 at all times.
Operators will monitor Marine VHF Channel 16.
Mariners are advised to maintain a proper lookout at all times and proceed with caution when navigating in this area.

Mariners are advised that there will be 5x various metocean data collection objects deployed around Lancelin on the 2nd of October 2026, with a retrieval date of October 2026. The shallowest object will lie 3.5m below the surface at LAT.
Operations will be undertaken from a research vessel and objects will be positioned by divers.
The international code flag “A” will be exhibited whilst diving operations are in progress.
