Mariners are advised that the second port beacon out from the Dawesville boat ramp No. 563 is currently missing due to vessel strike. please use caution when approaching or departing the ramp.

Mariners are advised that the channel under the Mandurah Estuary Bridge is unlit as no Navigational Markers are in place.

Mariners are advised to exercise caution when transiting throughout the Mandurah Estuary before sunrise or after sunset

Notice to Mariners

Mariners are hereby advised that construction activities for the duplication of the Mandurah Estuary Bridge (Mandurah Road) are currently in progress and will continue until late 2025.
These construction works will not obstruct navigational traffic through the designated navigation channel, which will remain accessible for vessels traveling both upstream and downstream of the bridge. However, please note that the precise location and width of the channel within the bridge span may be subject to adjustments due to ongoing construction activities. Mariners must follow signs and temporary navigational aids to safely enter and exit the central channel.

Construction barges, spotter vessels, and work vessels will be active within the construction zone for both the bridge and fishing platform construction.
Operators will be monitoring VHF Channel 16, and all vessels will display appropriate lights and shapes in accordance with the Prevention of Collisions at Sea Regulations 1983 at all times.

All vessels are advised that the waters within 150 meters north and south of the Mandurah Estuary Bridge are subject to a speed limit of 5 knots.
Mariners are requested to exercise caution and reduce speed, wake, and wash when navigating through this area during ongoing operations.

A Canoe has become submerged adjacent to jetty 0235 in the Serpentine River. The Canoe is approximately 12 foot and may present as a hazard to navigation.

Mariners are advised to navigate with caution and keep a safe distance from jetties.

A directional wave buoy (DWRB) has been deployed approximately 8 nautical miles northwest of Mandurah at the location below. The DWRB is yellow in colour, approximately 700mm in diameter, and equipped with a 2m whip antenna and flashing yellow light.

Mariners are requested to maintain a minimum distance of 100 meters from the DWRB, including any associated fishing equipment at all times so as to not interfere with or damage the DWRB.

It has been reported that shallowing has occurred around the port marker adjacent to the Novara boat ramp.

Mariners are advised to navigate with caution in the area

Southeast sector of Waroona Dam/Lake Navarino, east of the camp ground
Mariners are advised that submerged rocks have been reported near the shore in the southeast sector of Waroona Dam/Lake Navarino, to the east of the camp ground in the vicinity of the following coordinate: Location: 32° 51.042'S, 115° 59.990'E

Mariners are advised that a submerged concrete block has been reported to be in Batavia Quays Mandurah at the below location.

The block is reported to be approximately 300mm in height from the riverbed reducing charted water depths. A temporary Isolated Danger mark equipped with a flashing light has been deployed.

Mariners are reminded to be aware of underwater hazards during times of low tides when navigating in the Peel region.
