“Not having anyone to help me has set me back from completing my log book, as well as living in a town with not many resources and not having the money to pay for lessons,” Caitlan said.
With support from Judumul Drives, Caitlan began lessons and quickly found hope behind the wheel.
“When I’m driving, I feel free. I actually believe I might get my licence one day,” Caitlan said.
“I want to be able to drive my mum and sister around, especially since my mum can’t drive for medical reasons.”
With each lesson, Caitlan’s driving supervisor noticed a steady increase in her confidence and driving skills as she consistently showed up eager and ready to learn.
Despite her busy schedule, Caitlan and her driving supervisor worked together to make her lessons possible, often fitting them in during her lunch breaks.
“It might take a few lessons to find the right instructor, but you will,” Caitlan said.
“Don’t be afraid, you’re still learning.”
