On Friday 27 March 2026, plan a walk to work or put a spring in your step during the day.

This national recognition event promotes regular walking as a healthy activity and encourages people to walk all, or some of the way for the work commute.

Consider ways to step to it in your daily routine:

  • Park the car a little further from the office, or hop off the train or bus a few stops earlier and walk the rest of the way
  • Organise a group walk with colleagues during your lunch break
  • Have a walking meeting.
