New centres

Department of Transport Busselton

A new Department of Transport Centre is open from 4 November 2024.

The new Busselton DoT Centre offers in-person assistance with a range of licensing services, as well as DoT services previously unavailable in Busselton.

Services available

At the Busselton DoT Centre, you will be able to complete a range of DoT licensing and transport services including:

  • learner permit, driver’s licence and WA Photo Card applications.
  • vehicle licensing
  • optional plate purchase and collection
  • computerised theory tests and hazard perception tests
  • practical driving assessments
  • National Disability Insurance Scheme applications
  • on-demand Transport enquiries and number plate collection
  • Country Age Pension (CAP) Fuel Card applications
  • marine transactions.

The centre is located at Unit 1, 57 Cook Street, Busselton, providing customers with a convenient one-stop-shop for their licensing and transport needs, without needing to travel to Bunbury.

Joondalup Driver Assessment Centre

The Joondalup Driver Assessment Centre opened in November 2023.

The dedicated driver assessment centre will help to improve access to practical driving assessments (PDAs) and other services required for the learner driver journey.

The driver assessment centre is located at 65 Boas Avenue in Joondalup.

Services available 

At the Joondalup Driver Assessment Centre, you are able to complete:

  • learner’s permit and WA photocard applications 
  • car (C), motorcycle (R-N, R-E & R), light rigid (LR), medium rigid (MR) and heavy rigid (HR) PDAs
  • learner’s permit theory tests 
  • hazard perception tests
  • interstate and overseas licence transfers
  • National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) worker screening checks.

For other services, you will need to visit one of our other licensing centres or agents.

Opening hours

The centre is open Monday to Saturday, 7:15 am to 5:30 pm.
