The Annual Report 2024-2025 for the Department of Transport (DoT) has been released, after being tabled in Parliament by the Minister for Transport, Hon Rita Saffioti yesterday.

This report reflects DoT’s priority to serve the WA community, highlighting how we strengthened our social licence by staying community-focused in addressing challenges and delivering transport solutions, services and legislation.

This report covers DoT’s organisational performance, key highlights and projects during the 2024-2025 financial year, including:

  • passenger restrictions for red P-plates (Red Plate. One Mate) aiming to reduce death and serious injury on Western Australian roads;
  • legislative reform to crack down on predatory and unethical behaviour in the towing industry;
  • collaboration with the Kimberley Ports Authority on their first point of entry application and ongoing management of the $200 million Agricultural Supply Chain Improvements program;
  • digitisation of the Passenger Transport Subsidy Scheme for people with disability, replacing the old paper system; and
  • achieving sector recognition as both a Disability Confident Recruiter and Inclusive Employee status, and much more.

On 1 July, DoT was renamed the Department of Transport and Major Infrastructure (DMTI), as part of public sector reforms announced Premier Cook in March.

A digital version of the full report and a snapshot is now available on our Annual Report page.
