Using my WA licence interstate

You can drive in any part of Australia on your Western Australian driver licence.

You can drive throughout Australia with your Western Australian driver's licence as long as it is current and it is not suspended or cancelled.

You cannot drive on a WA licence if you are disqualified from driving or your driving privileges are withdrawn.

Renewing your licence while interstate

You can renew your Western Australian driver's licence if you are temporarily interstate or overseas.

If a new photograph is required, you will need to submit a photo kit, your licence renewal, and payment by post.
