On-demand Transport Industry Reference Group
The On-demand Transport Industry Reference Group provides a forum for constructive dialogue between the on-demand transport industry and the Department of Transport. Read this page for information about the OdTIRG’s role, responsibilities and membership.
What is the On-demand Transport Industry Reference Group?
The purpose of the On-demand Transport Industry Reference Group (OdTIRG) is to:
- provide an effective forum for constructive dialogue between the on-demand transport industry and the Department of Transport (DoT);
- exchange information, understanding and feedback on the status of operational or strategic matters of interest for the on-demand industry; and
- ensure active consultation with DoT regarding on-demand transport industry issues, specifically with the On-demand Transport Policy Intelligence and Education Team.

Membership
Membership for the OdTIRG will be sought from representatives across WA, including:
- Perth metropolitan on-demand booking services (ODBSs);
- regional ODBSs;
- on-demand rank or hail (taxi) and charter drivers;
- wheelchair accessible vehicle operators; and
- on-demand charter operators (including wedding car / limousine and bus operators).
The selection of members is based on several factors including, but not limited to:
- size and capacity of the services;
- number of drivers (if applicable);
- customer experience;
- depth of industry knowledge.
Members of the OdTIRG agree to adhere to the guiding principles and roles and responsibilities for members outlined in the OdTIRG Terms of Reference (see below).
OdTIRG members agree to commit to attend meetings on at least a quarterly basis, either:
- virtually via Microsoft Teams; or
- in-person at 2 Tassels Place, Innaloo WA.

Expressions of interest are now closed
Expressions of Interest for the On-demand Transport Industry Reference Group (OdTIRG) are now closed. The first OdTIRG meeting will occur in June 2023.
