The redevelopment of DoT’s Your Move program website has come to fruition, with the new website officially launched.

This is a significant milestone for the Your Move team, who commenced work on the website redesign in May 2022.

DoT Behaviour Change Program Officer, Trevor Buckenara shared how the collective effort to develop the new site has delivered a fantastic product, enhancing user experience.

“This project has required detailed planning, user feedback, design and testing, so seeing it come to life is a great achievement for everyone involved,” he said.

“It was a real collaborative effort between many teams internally at DoT, contractors and our amazing ‘Champion users’.

“The last round of user testing before launch confirmed that we’d developed a great product, which is a much more user-friendly and streamlined platform.”

Delivered as a staged launch, the public facing pages opened in July, with log in pages now available to users.

New features of the modernised website include:

  • an enhanced user dashboard;
  • an all-new activity planner and news page;
  • improved stories page;
  • an upgraded journey planner;
  • improved surveys and visual reports; and
  • multi-factor authentication for improved online security.

“Our aim was to develop a website that enables us to build capacity and increase engagement from Western Australian schools and organisations, with a primary focus to boost rates of active travel for the school journey,” Trevor said.

“We’re excited to deliver the new website, making the experience better and easier for our Your Move community and supporting them to find more active ways to get around.”
