Spoilbank Marina
The impressive Spoilbank Marina at Port Hedland is nearing completion.
The marina precinct is expected to be fully operational in the second quarter 2024-25, providing a modern,
state-of-the-art facilities that rate amongst the best on the WA coastline.
The marina will be a new marine hub for the local community and visitors to enjoy, with 22 new
cyclone-rated floating boat pens, a four-lane boat ramp, a fishing platform and cleaning facilities.
The new larger boat ramp, opened in January 2024, is accessible at all tides and together with the
new boat pens they significantly improve access and safety for the boating community.
Boat owners interested in becoming a penholder at the marina should apply now with boat pens
expected to be open shortly.
There is currently no access to any landside facilities, including water and electrical services.
Port Hedland is a popular spot for fishing, crabbing, whale watching and known for turtle nesting.
