Geraldton Batavia Coast Marina future development

The Department of Transport (DoT) intends to develop an overall development concept for the Batavia Coast Marina in Geraldton.

The marina (land and water) is only partially developed and requires a guiding plan that responds to future demand for marine facilities and the opportunities and constraints of the site.

Project background

DoT is undertaking the project in response to increasing demand for additional maritime facilities, including boat launching, boat pens and associated marine services.

DoT also requires a guide plan to inform staged development and associated business planning.

Project timeline

The project is commencing with preliminary planning and stakeholder consultation during 2023.

Business cases will be required to support future staged development.
