Driving Access and Equity grants

Grants are available to eligible community-based organisations for initiatives that improve access to suitable driving services, instructors and vehicles.

In early 2022, 12 community-based organisations in the Kimberley and Pilbara shared in the first program grants of nearly $3.5 million.

In February 2023 the program was expanded to the Mid West and Gascoyne and Goldfields-Esperance regions where 10 community-based organisations shared in program grants totalling more than $3.3 million.

In September 2023, 9 of the 12 original grant recipients in the Kimberley and Pilbara received second-year funding to continue their projects, while one additional organisation (Kimberley Group Training) received a first-year grant.
