Nominations open for 2024 Your Move Awards

The Your Move Awards returns in 2024, and nominations are now open to acknowledge Your Move schools, organisations and individuals who advocate and inspire more active ways to get around.

Hosted every two-years, the awards program celebrates the success and achievements of Your Move program participants who champion active travel for commuting, fun and a healthier lifestyle.

The awards also recognise local governments that have delivered exemplary walking, wheeling and riding infrastructure and planning projects in Western Australia.

Nominations are invited into five Your Move school and organisation categories and three Your Move built environment categories, which include new awards for active travel planning projects, excellence in activation and innovation in infrastructure design.

Department of Transport Director of Active Transport, Michelle Prior said the awards program is a great opportunity to showcase best practice in active travel initiatives.

“We’re thrilled to welcome back the Your Move Awards in 2024,” Ms Prior said.

“This is a fantastic awards program that allows us to recognise the significant achievements of those delivering active travel projects and making a tangible positive impact in their communities.”

Your Move is a free DoT program that provides information and support to help school students, workplaces and individuals spend less time travelling in the car and more time enjoying their community and environment.

“Programs like Your Move are critical in maximising the benefits of our infrastructure investments by helping people to use more active ways to travel on a regular basis.

“So many Your Move schools and champions are delivering huge benefits through active travel projects, whether it be improving health and sustainability outcomes, or advocating for more inclusive and connected neighbourhoods.”

If you know a Your Move champion, school or community delivering outstanding active transport projects, nominate them for an award. Self-nominations are also accepted.
