Despite his young age, Lincoln is a leading hand at his work and wanted to get his licence to prove to himself what he was capable of and show his boss he was able to drive to and from work.

Lincoln contacted Jude from YIC (Youth Involvement Council) who enrolled him in their Drive2Thrive program. Lincoln already completed his Keys 4 Life, and quickly progressed from driving lessons to supervised hours, to passing his HPT.

With no one to accompany him for the four-hour drive to Karratha, Lincoln thought his licence would have to wait. Lincoln’s dad and Jude put a call out for help, and luckily found a kind volunteer - Steve!

Steve offered to drive Lincoln four hours to his test in Karratha and even made sure Lincoln had time to do a drive around Karratha to familiarise himself with the area.

“With a huge smile on his face Lincoln contacted his parents and family to celebrate and congratulate his efforts and achievements,” Steve said.
