Lillian enrolled in Real Future’s Driver Support Program in the hope of finally obtaining her licence after a determined 8-year journey.

After facing numerous barriers on the journey to getting her licence, ranging from financial, to navigating the complexities of the driving test, Lillian remained determined to succeed.

Real Future’s driving instructors worked closely with Lillian to help build her confidence and driving skills needed to pass her driving test. 

Lillian’s never give up attitude and determination was an inspiration to the team that supported her. 

“We are proud to have been a part of her success and will continue to support individuals in our community who strive for similar goals,” said Real Futures Driving school manager Christopher Pugh.

Lillian also kept in regular contact with DoT’s Remote Services team on their visits to Carnarvon.

Remote Service officer Georgina said having her licence has given Lillian the opportunity to look after her family.

The Driving Access and Equity Program provides grants to organisations like Real Futures to provide tailored assistance to community members that face barriers when going for their licence.
