Local job opportunities flow from final Jetty Road contract

A Western Australian company has been awarded the $5.8 million contract to complete the Jetty Road causeway upgrades at Casuarina Boat Harbour, generating local jobs and opportunities for local contractors in the building and construction industry.

WA company, Densford Civil Pty Ltd successfully tendered for phase two of the upgrade which includes the reconstruction of Jetty Road, increased parking with 164 bays, the introduction of shared paths and landscaping, the construction of a multipurpose building incorporating public toilets, and improvements to utility services in the area.

The $5.8 million contract will see five South-West subcontractors, four of them Bunbury-based businesses, with a workforce of 20 engaged in the construction ahead of completion by mid-2020.
