All Department of Transport systems have now been restored following our outage.
All services are available online and in our Driver and Vehicle Services Centres and Regional Transport Centres.
We understand the impact this had on many of our customers and thank you for your patience and understanding.

My driver's licence has now expired. How do I pay it without driving to a centre?
You can pay your driver’s licence renewal online via the DoT website or by calling the Customer Contact Centre on 13 11 56. Alternative payment options are listed on your renewal notice.
We understand some customers may be required to attend a centre for a new photo. If this is the case, you will need to arrange alternative transport to a centre of PhotoPoint outlet.

I missed the payment deadline for my vehicle registration. Can I pay it late online?
Yes, you can still pay it online via the DoT website or any of the other payment options listed on your renewal notice if it’s within three months of the expiry date.
My vehicle registration has expired. Can I drive to a centre to pay it?
It is an offence to drive an unregistered vehicle and unregistered vehicles are not covered by third party insurance.
You can pay your renewal online via the DoT website or by calling the Customer Contact Centre on 13 11 56 if it’s within three months of the expiry date.
Are there any fees for late payment of driver’s licences and vehicle licences?
No, however it is important you pay your renewal notice as soon as possible.
Our online and in-centre payment options are all available.
It is an offence to drive without a valid driver’s licence or to drive an unregistered vehicle.
I passed my Practical Driving Assessment (PDA) during the system outage. What now?
You can now attend any Driver and Vehicle Services centre to process your new licence. Thank you for your patience. Congratulations and drive safe!
I failed my PDA during the system outage. What now?
Our PDA online booking system is now back up and running so if you feel prepared, you can go online and book a PDA.
