WA Bike Month 2024 grant documents

Grant application information

Missed out an applying for a grant this year? Read the grant guidelines to find out how you can support your organisations applications next year.

Grant funding was available to schools (up to $500), and organisations, local governments, community groups, and bike groups (up to $7,000) for bike riding events held in October. Grant applications closed at 5 pm on Sunday, 30 June 2024.

Information for schools

All WA schools can participate in WA Bike Month 2024 and are encouraged to organise an event. Consider hosting a ‘Ride to School Breakfast’ during October!

Schools are also encouraged to register to be a part of the Your Move program, a free Department of Transport initiative that supports active travel to school and even has a rewards system. If you’re after some inspiration, there are a range of great stories, activities, and resources on the Your Move website.

Whatever you plan, we’d love to hear about it. Share a story about your WA Bike Month event on the Your Move website and tag @WABikeMonth on social media for the chance to be featured on the Department of Transport’s social media channels.
